funny you should post on this today...I'm dealing with time zone issues in calendar module today as well.
A couple things:
First, I think it needs to be recognized that this is a fairly new module...so, as good as it is, it's not 'mature' yet. So, these things crop up.
The latest developer snapshot fixed a few issues for me, you may want to try that out (backup your database first! when i installed it i got iCal module related errors, but I"m not using that module so i went ahead anywya). You'll also need to install the latest (dev?) version of the Date module, otherwise nothing will work.
I'm glad to hear, at least, that the iCal module actually is pulling in the dates at all...I haven't tried it yet, but just imagined it not working and totally disappointing me :)
Basically, the bottom line is, I think there are date/time issues ever-present in this module...give it a year or so and it'll work all this stuff out and be a killer module, i think.

I'm using the Calendar module to pull iCal calendars onto a unified calendar. However, it seems to be "double correcting" for GMT. For instance, one server (drupal site which I manage) I pull a calendar off of is at GMT-4. So a local event at 6 pm is listed in the iCal file at 10 pm (2200). However, on the unified calendar it is showing as 2 pm. Another calendar is on a GMT-5 server (non-drupal site which I don't manage), and it shows on the unified calendar as 5 hours earlier than it should!
Any ideas how I can correct this?
I like cheese.
