Hola, G&G guys and gals. I've got a new site in development and would LOVE to hear what you like, what is missing and what you don't like from my current site. I'd like to take this group's thoughts and suggestions into consideration as I work with my development guys on the new site.

The current site is at www.anthonycoppedge.com. Rob and Matt, your comments mean a lot so please share along with everyone else. :)

THANK YOU ALL!

Anthony

Quick - highly subjective feedback
  • layout seems OK
  • text and graphics seem too small and fuzzy on this PC
  • get some chroma (too monochrome for something that dark)
  • dump the motion (it is distratcting &irritating, and has too much resemblence/association to banner adds & blinged out MySpace pages.

Looks like you're making good use of modern features, but I think the rendition might benefit from tweaking items mentioned.

Some Thoughts

I know your site and have been there a number of times. Here are a few things to think about:

  • No flash navigation. Flash looks good and is cool. But, what about vision impaired people? What about mobile devices?
  • Remove the click to activate. More people that not use internet explorer as their browser. When flash is on a page you have to click it once to activate it before you can use it. Anywhere you use flash use something like swfobject to remove this.
  • Remove the motion. We are like fish (at least I am). Pretty shiny moving things catch our attention. The problem is, that distracts from the content. Something that's cool looking but doesn't distract from the content is the goal.
  • Increased Font Size. The font size in your welcome message is a little small for me. I'd go with at least a 12px font there. Though, I'd use em in the css to get that height.

This is my initial set of thoughts. Hope this helps.

And, thanks for posting a blog post referring people over here.

Just a couple of thoughts

Just a couple of thoughts that stand out from a user stand point.
Increase the font size, remove the flash and the noise when hovering over the menu. Maybe change the title "Start" to home. Most people are familiar with what a HOME navigation means, but may be confused by START.
