Hello!

I'm fairly new to the Geeks and God broadcast. Once I found it, I listened many of them within a matter of week or so. I really enjoyed the listen and mainly to find that there were people out there like myself.

On that note, let me introduce myself and mention a few sites that you all might find interesting. I hope that I don't come across as a spammer trying to plug my junk. That is not my intention.

I am a Geek (by my wife's definition) and very much into God. In fact, I have a few web sites dedicated to Christianity (primarily in the realm of studying the Bible). My hope is to create some passive income that would allow me to be more of a minister to the web then I am able to now.

I used to be pretty active on http://www.t411.com which is my theological-expositional site. This year, I have dedicated myself to posting blogs on the gospels (http://inthegospels.blogspot.c...) since I am studying them chronologically until I finish.

Something that may be worth your fancy is a series of projects that I and a friend have began working on that are geared to Bible Students. Collectively, they are called "The Preacher's Suite." They will be completely online and free. The first release in the suite is "The Preacher's Library" which acts sort of like LibraryThing.com but for Bible students. You can trash your Rolodexes and use this application to keep track of your notes on books you read. The site is progressing, we have to build the community part into next. But we have some big hitters on there (that I'll leave unnamed). Give it a shot and let me know what you think.

My personal site is http://www.aliasbdi.com where you can see my work and blog (which I am behind on).

I know, this is really plug-full. I apologize. I was going to mention eControl as the Drupal trump, but I don't want any tomatoes thrown at me. :)

Hats of to MF and Rob. Doing a great show. I enjoy it. Sorry for the lengthiness. Maybe this will gather some commons that would privilege me with some conversations online (or offline - I ain't scared!). Look forward to talking to you all.

Hello!

Hi Jacob,

I gave your Gospels blog a quick look. That's a pretty good idea. Studying the Word and writing about what you learned has got to be a good way to keep you focused on digging in and learning something every time you read it.

Not sure what kind of general conversation you'll kick up posting here. Most of the daily chatter has been happening over on Twitter.
