multiple video output on mac mini

on the recent perfect church: audio/video i recalled hearing rob & matt mention getting a powermac for lyric projection because it supports multiple video outputs.

i ran across an article pointing out that it can be done using a mac mini with the help of a handy adapter (originally made for windows), which is hugely beneficial to our church budget.

hope someone else finds that as useful as i have!

analog

This is pretty cool. Too bad it doesn't support digital.

I wonder if it's capable of handling 2 screens of different resolutions. From looking at the specs I don't think so.

If anyone has used this I would love to see a pros/cons list.

I should say....

Yeah, I should say (and considered saying) that it's possible to get dual video out from all of apple's machines...but since they're not intended to be used that way, it usually involves a hack (or a third party device) and wouldn't be supported by anyone...

So rather than make things complicated, we recommended a solution that does it out of the box.
