I just look at Lamp replacement costs for an OPTOMA EP739 DLP projector and nearly choked. It's more than a third of my annual budget! Are there any good projectors out there that have a reasonable lamp replacement cost or is this simply the state of the technology?

It pays to turn off the lights when you're not using them.
Projector lamps are the gotcha expense. I don't know pricing... can someone enlighten us? I'd love to see some number and am a little scared to see the numbers.
