I am a little confused about the "your comments" section of the page. Are comments I post supposed to show up under that header or is the "your" a synonym for "user"? Or is there a way to make a specific thread show in that column? Is it configurable in any way?

I'm pretty sure that the "your comments" column just shows the most recent comments posted to any node on the site using views. It's definitly not person specific, although, you could certainly make it do that using views arguments
