Your feed is missing the enclosure tags pointing to the media files. In the feed itself it says they are not turned on for that feed. iTunes needs the links to the media files.

Thanks for the help.
Ended up canning the iTunes feed until I have time to set everything up correctly.
I was thinking though, is there any real value in being listed in the iTunes directory. We're a small church with few people who are into the podcast thing - idk - maybe 'm missing the value or perspective of it.
I get the same message from iTunes when I try to submit my new feed to them: "The feed has no episodes."
Can someone tell me if this feed URL contains the correct information?

Thanks!

When a podcast system, like iTunes, looks for media attached to a feed it's not looking in the description or body of the RSS feed. That area is for text and not the media. They are looking for something called an enclosure tag.
You might consider using something like feedburner or an add on to create those.
I figured that out - I had to send the url of the feed from Feedburner: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cbcypsi/vision-for-youth.
Now it's in iTunes, but the episode is missing the Time/Duration information. Any idea how to get this to iTunes via Feedburner? I'm using Joomla.

I noticed above you talked about enclosure tags, but I have no idea what that means. Even if you know some good step by step instructions on the internet somewhere, I would take that! :-)
Thanks
Hi Kristin,
I think you might have bigger problems than no episodes in your feed. When I followed the links to your blog, I don't see any podcasts attached at all. You'll need to get them in your content before you get them on your feed, and I'm not quite sure how to do that with Blogger.
However, if you can get the podcast files uploaded somewhere and linked in your blog, you can set Feedburner to find attached media files and automatically create the enclosure tags for you.
Hope this points you in the right direction!
Micah
Hi everybody, i have the same problem, but i don't know how to fix it, since i use feedburner, and feedburner itself should be supposed to create a "correct" feed for itunes, as well... do you have any suggestions to give me?
My podcast is: www.studio28.tv (wordpress)
My feed is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Studio28tv
I guess i cannot change the xml file, since it is burned by feedburner, so maybe there's some options i turned on or off improperly...
Thanks for your help!!
Giovanni
Hi,
I have the same error as everyone else, but I can't tell what/where enclosure tags are or if that's the issues. I had a freelancer install PodPress and tell me that our feed is: http://www3.ipass.com/?feed=podcast
Yet when I submit to iTunes, I get "This feed has no episodes."
This plugin doesn't seem to have an input for episodes, when I'm loading it (it has Podcast Title?). I can't see the code on the page, because it must be hidden in the plug-in. I re-added two podcasts on the bottom of this page: http://www3.ipass.com/resource-center/podcasts/
Thanks for any help.
Karen
I seem to be having the same problem as Giovanni
I am using feed burner currently and whenever i try to add my feed directly to itunes it tells me that i have no episodes when it clearly says on the feedburner link that i do.

I want to join the crowd of people getting the error message from iTunes of no content (or something like that -- my brain is toast! I have been beating my head to do this for 10 hours. The Mac Geniuses could not help me either. (four of them)
Okay -- Mac is from iTunes, but they don't know how to do this? Is this a secret club or sumthin'?
Help! HELP!
Will someone please email me or can I get an answer when someone answers this post? I dunno.

Okay, I found what iTunes error was:
this feed has no episodes
Sheesh.
I hope I can walk into my room and find my bed?! Duh.
Jo
(I hope)
The error is wrong. My feed does indeed have tags which are what is referred to as an episode. My feed does validate so there has to be something else wrong in iTunes' end.
I will keep you posted as to what I find - I'm a programmer for decades and have seen these things happen many times. You probably have to trick it to work.
I'm working on submitting an RSS feed to iTunes so that it is listed in the iTunes Podcast directory. When I submit the RSS feed, I get the error message that "this feed has no episodes". I'm not all that familiar with this.
Church site - http://www.fbclp.net/
Podcast feed - http://www.fbclp.net/?feed=podcast
I'm using WordPress and the PodPress plugin.
Any help would be appreciated...
