Trying to use Events module...

nevermind...
Nevermind I'm dumb... Curt on these forums mentioned using CCK and views instead of the events module. I wasn't able to get in touch with Curt over skype, however he jogged my memory with mentioning CCK. So I watched a video tutorial and I've already seen Rob Feature's video tutorial.
In short... I'll be fine lol. Sorry this can be deleted if you want.

I was trying to figure out the events module. What I am attempting to do is set up an itinerary like i have on www.perfectingthesaints.com.
I have no problem making event pages, but I was wanting to show multple ones on a page. I read a lot and was under the impression that views would do this for me, but I couldn't get views to work with events. Any ideas or online tutorials for this? I couldn't find any. I'm also putting this up on the G&G forums get ideas from others as well. Thanks!

This is what I have so far with trying to recreate the first link. I used a contributed theme, but tend on learning how to make a theme myself to look just like the first link. Which is why I'm sorry i missed Rob Feature's workshop :(
