Weird computer power issue

Anyone know why my computer is putting out some sort of power? When i click the mouse, my speakers pop, and if my phone is by the monitor, it randomly shuts off and back on. any ideas?

do you have everything

do you have everything plugged into a power strip? I'd make sure everything was grounded correctly and that there isn't a short somewhere. Good place to start at least.

Is it the phone or the monitor?

Is it the phone or the monitor that is shutting on and off... not clear from the post. I'm guessing it's the monitor going on and off. I had a cell phone that created signal interference in my car stereo as well as a computer monitor. The cabling in the laptop is probably not well shielded.

Does all this happen when you are running on baterry? Or just when you're plugged in? If it's a windows laptop, try going into your control panel, under sounds, and shutting off the sound for mouse clicks. Does it still pop?

Actually, it is a desktop

Actually, it is a desktop and the phone is the one that is shutting off. That is what makes me wonder. It is not a GSM phone (it is verizon), so I am thinking that it is not interference from the phone. The speakers popping when I click the mouse makes me think that it might be a grounding issue, but everything looks fine down there, and nothing else plugged into the strip is complaining. I am confused. Lol

Test, test, test

Testing is one of the best things you can do. Try the computer in a different outlet, on a different circuit, or in a completely different place and see if the issue still happens. Swap out the most with a different one and see if that makes a difference. There are a lot of places this could be coming from and a little swaptronics and you can find the item at fault in the setup.
