Looks pretty nice. What is your reasoning for nixing a sidebar in this design? Couple of things I might change:
Without a sidebar, I think I'd just put a link to the login page on the navbar, so it's right up top, and members don't have to scroll down to the bottom of the page every time they want to log in
You may want to consider using sprites on your subnavbar images to give a rollover effect. This is pretty standard behavior for websites, and since it's what people are use to seeing, it helps them navigate the site a little better. Also, it's hard to read the text on the pictures right now, the text doesn't stand out enough, IMO.
Blessings!
I'm glad you pointed that out! I'm using the Page Title module so we can generate custom page titles for better SEO. Just today I upgraded it to the 2.0 module, and some settings must not have been compatible from the 1.X release. Anyway, I changed some settings in the module, and think its fixed now. Thanks!
Thanks Anthony for your suggestions. I'll look into making CSS rollover images.
I didn't want a left sidebar, because the graphic guy made a "fixed-width" design and I don't want to lose extra space with a second sidebar. The right sidebar is only displayed on the front page. I suppose I could move the login to the right sidebar area.
Regarding the login, currently, there's not much a "logged-in" user can do other than add comments, which no one really has done, although a lot of users have registered for the site. I need to find other features to add to the site that would benefit someone who logged in.
Anyway, thanks again for taking a look and making suggestions!
Hi!
I've been using Drupal for our church website over the past year, and really appreciate all the help and info that is available on the Geeks and God website!
Our new theme is complete, and I would appreciate critique, feedback, and any comments that would help me improve our site. Also, if there's anything you see where you would like to know how I did it, I would be happy to pass the info on.
