What about just embedding a javascript calculator that someone else has built already like this or this?

But what do you mean by "pretty complex calculator"? If you want a scientific calculator there might well be a javascript one of those too...

I have a multi page Excel

I have a multi page Excel file that I need to recreate the fields / relationships on to calculate how much of what product is needed for a user inputed project. I may create the calculator in JS and embed, but was curious how effectively if could be done in Drupal.

Ahh

Rather different meaning of "calculator" than I had been assuming. Are you wanting it to recalculate live (without page reload) or would the user submit a form and then get a page with the results? Also, how complicated are the calculations (e.g. just basic arithmetic or calculating things like compounding interest on a mortgage)?

basic math, but semi-complex

basic math, but semi-complex relationships (if A & B, use this relationship... if A' and C', use that one...). I would prefer to recalculate live. I'll probably just have to write on in JS and embed.

I need to build a pretty complex calculator for a Drupal site. Has anyone built one using any Drupal module? Is it hard to build one using Computed Field?
