Hey, everyone - I've been a long time user of XOOPS and ImpressCMS (a XOOPS fork) and currently maintain Christian Web Resources, a site for Christian XOOPS and ImpressCMS users. XOOPS was/is a PHPNUke offshoot, so you have a reference point for the origin of the system(s).

One of the things I appreciated about the CWM forums was the variety of viewpoints about different cms systems and general web topics. Hopefully, we can make that a part of these forums, too. Matt and Rob are doing an excellent job of providing a Drupal perspective to web ministry and the recent Joomla episodes have been well done.

If you have XOOPS or ImpressCMS questions or examples of churches or ministry sites using them, I'd love to hear what you've gone through or have learned in the process.

In Christ,
Steve

Bring it on

Exactly. We want a variety of view points here. I'm not just a drupal guy, myself. I write PHP apps, code in python, jQuery plugins, straight JavaScript, and more.

It's about helping people do good stuff. It's not about the technology. It's about the mission.

Some of my favorite discussions here have been the programming ones. I'd love to see more people here talking about other CMS or other web topics. There is a lot more to the web than drupal and we want to embrace using it to do good stuff.
