Great Job, Guys

So I actually haven't listened to any of the podcasts until today as I was driving home from college for the Easter weekend. I listened to two of them and they were GREAT!! I'm not much of a drupal guy (no experience), but I will be working with Drupal for the next year as an intern. I listened to the Church Recipes podcast as well as the Tech you Can't Live Without episodes.

Knowing almost next to nothing about Drupal, the church recipes one was actually quite helpful getting a feel for how Drupal works, etc... I'm going to check out some of those modules you mentioned.

I look forward to listening to more of these.

Check out the series

Hey Rudy,
Thanks for checking out the podcast. We did an entire 10 episode series on Drupal (about a year and a half ago) and how to get started, I'd recommend you jump back here to check it out.

They aren't listed in iTunes

Why isn't this series listed in iTunes? I see that the earliest one listed in iTunes is from 10 December 2007. I'll check these out and download them anyway though. I've already glanced at the series, and it looks quite helpful.

I did download (but haven't listened to yet) the jQuery and Drupal Basics one.

I do know enough about Drupal to know what it does and sort-of how it works. I installed the core files onto my web server a couple weeks ago. I also know it works on a module system, but whatever that means I think I'm starting to understand.

Thanks!

PS: I started transcribing Tech We Can't Live Without, and it looks like the apostrophe in the title isn't being displayed properly. I haven't done much on the transcription so far, but have I done it right? I'll do some more.

iTunes...

i can't speak for the guys, but while setting up our church's podcast, I discovered that feedburner and other services really don't like you to leave your entire catalog on their feed. Their instructions specifically say a feed should be your recent stuff, not everything you've done since the begining of time. At least, that's the way it felt to me! So we set an arbitrary cut off of 52 weeks for our podcast. They probably do the same for theirs.

Blessings,
Tony

Cut Off

feedburner has a size cutoff on their podcast feeds. It's rather large but we have hit it. So, we only leave something like the last 50 in there.
