Go to www.website.com/admin/settings/site-information and then down towards the bottom is "default home page" and enter your url. The only problem with path auto is that it has the settings:
Update action:
* Do nothing. Leave the old alias intact.
* Create a new alias. Leave the existing alias functioning.
* Create a new alias. Delete the old alias.
By default it's set to the third option. So if you create a page called "home" and then go in an update it, it'll change the path of the node and you'll have to go in and manually change it back to "home".
I need to configure my primary home page (node) to re-direct to a specific URL using Pathauto and URL aliases
I am using Drupal 5.9
