Google PageRank/Backlinks Update?

This morning I noticed that my Backward links went from 80 to 128 since the last update. No change in my 6/10 PageRank. Anyone else notice a change?

How about a change in your SERPs? (Search Engine Results Placement)

PR is still the same, but I have more backlinks. I think it went from 20 or so to 78. I wonder if they change how they figure them since I can now list most of the backlinks when I check.

I am not currently fighting for good SEO placement so I don't know how I am doing in the SERPs

From what I've been seeing on

From what I've been seeing on other SEO forums, it appears that Google is NOT (or not very often) showing high PR sites in the backlinks, but IS showing PR 0-3 sites in the backlinks. I personally think it's a step to stop people from buying and selling high PR links from their sites. It also makes it harder to find high PR backlinks from your competitors that you'd like to get as well.

A good move by Google in my own opinion. Anyone else have an update?

I did notice that my high PR

I did notice that my high PR backlinks didn't appear, but many links from the forum here did.

My church's backlinks are at

My church's backlinks are at 245 - which I think is an slight increase. But I didn't notice much of a difference in the backlinks listed - they have always seemed a bit random in order. No backlinks listed from the forums here though - so maybe I am still seeing the older ones?

Yeah, we're talking about the "link:http://www.yourdomain.com" search in Google. Has ANYONE had PR updates? Just wondering if Google actually modified anyone's PR in this last update.

afterhim...you have 3 links

afterhim...you have 3 links pointing to the same place. Now I know we just did some tweaking so google can start reading our sigs...but I think it only counts one outbound at a time. I'm not saying it's spam....but you could tuck up all those words into one nice big link /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I noticed that one of my sites hit PR 0. I don't ever visit it since it is basically dead, but it still gets a lot of hits from links. A backlinks search on it brings up one result, but doing a search on its domain name brings up 130 pages that mention it.
Six months ago it had a PR 6 then a PR 5 and now a PR 0. I was wondering if the PR checker was broken, so I looked at several other sites (other than mine) and they were PR 0 as well.
Has Google started randomly killing PR on certain sites?

Gotcha polvero...I just wanted to make sure my anchor text was sufficient...it is now too.

So any PR updates yet?

i wonder if it's part of the blocked PR movement.
not only are site's getting blocked from giving PR...but why would they block just "showing" PR?
makes no sense.

I typed in a list of sites I often appear next to in searches and all of them returned 0.

It seems odd that so many (although relatively few compared to the internet) sites would get nill. None of the sites I typed in have ever had below 3 since I started checking them months ago. I wonder if their PR was shot or if it just isn't showing up. I thought it might have just been happening during a Google update, but it has repeated for days.

My Home Page PR use to be 4

My Home Page PR use to be 4 and all other pages PR3. A few days ago suddenly my Home page was PR4 but all other pages changed to different PRs 1, 2, 3, and even 0. Today I checked again and everything was back to normal Home page PR4 and all other pages PR3.

But the funny thing is that before my Google "link:http://www.yourdomain.com" search showed 7 back links and Google "@www.YOUR DOMAIN.com -site:www. YOUR DOMAIN.com search showed seventy something.
A few days ago I did the same searches the first search showed only 2 backlinks and non of these 2 links were really a link that I could identify. The second search showed 84 links instead of seventy something. Isn't this nerve breaking. I am sick of such up and down changes specially when you are not aware of any reasons.
Anyone has any idea what to do with my drop of backlinks?
Is there any place that you can call or write and ask questions or complain?

Best regards

Not sure that there is - can you imagine how many people would complain to them every day? Yikes.

Just look at DMOZ.org, they

Just look at DMOZ.org, they NOW have a 6 month waiting time after you submit a link to the directory! 6 MONTHS! That's outrageous!

I'm not messing or worrying about all that stuff. Just work on getting more links to your site, regardless of your rankings. They will all come in time.
