Thanks! Couldn't get the site to come up, may be my connection though, will try again later. I hope they have a note about using their content. I've found 2 or 3 sites where I like theirs but when I email them to ask if I can reprint on another site, I get no response. Go figure.
Thanks again,
Chris
I found one here that was a good basis and they gave me permission:
www.prayerfoundation.org
(not a good site design to wade through BTW).
I used theirs as a basis and rewrote some of it a bit.
PS. I wasn't quite sure how to take your comment Joe but I'm assuming you meant the best out of it.
I have something similar to this. When I started my website, I used the "Spiritual Base" our church used in some course we did. I thought it would be quite good using on my site to share how to become a Christian.

It's great you found something that will work for you :-)
Blessings on you!

There's one that is on my site at http://www.gracecentered.com/plan_of_salvation_christian.htm. If you use it please link back to the original.
Chris,
I have written a brief statement on "The Plan of Salvation" on my website. You can find it here: http://christianityetc.org/plan_of_salvation.php. There are other basic Christian statements on my site that may also be helpful, including one on "Why Jesus?" and another on "God's Work of Redemption". You and your viewers could read and use these statements regularly with a direct link to them. Let me know if you have any questions about these statements or my site. I would be blessed to have you use any of these materials. May God bless you in your ministries.

>> Maybe you should start by looking in the bible?
I agree. I don't know about any such 'plan of salvation' websites, but I do know about the Gospel. Surely it is simply best to give them the Gospel of Jesus Christ, most Christians ought to be able to give this witness to people they meet on the internet. I find that most websites geared to offering 'plans of salvation' are generally tacky and unlikely to be read by people who are serious interested in Faith in Christ. I too would recommend that what is in the Bible, and prayerfully encourage them to read the bible for themselves.
"I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous one shall live by faith." Romans 1:16-17
"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" Romans 10:9
I think a lot of the answer to this question comes down to what you're trying to convey, and who is your target audience. (The original post doesn't say, so I'm writing with the understanding that my response might not be applicable.) A church would probably present information about salvation differently than a personal website. I think "churchy" salvation messages on personal websites tend to be less well received.
As far as personal websites go, one's own testimony is far more effective than a bunch of scripture and doctrine. People can refute doctrine and a Book they don't believe is true, but they can't argue the evidence of a changed life. That should be the majority of the content. If, at the end, you want to back it up with scripture, pick some. A couple of verses from the Romans Road might be good. Romans 3:10, 5:8, 4:3, 10:9 and 10:13 stand out as high points for me. Following up with an invitation for personal contact for more information might be an effective way to close.
People who need salvation tend to be either turned off or closed to religion and the Bible. They're far more open to hearing your own personal story of how God has touched your life. That's why I Peter 2:5 calls us to be living epistles, markers and monuments, chronicles of what God has done.
Micah
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
We hear Jesus say, "God so loved the world." God's love has no limitations. He loves "so". More than we can imagine. He loves everyone - not just some ones.
Romans 5:8 tells us that God loved us so that "when we were in our sin Christ Jesus came to die for us."
Romans 3:23
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
This verse tells us that all people have sinned. We have fallen short of God's intended purpose for us. God made us to know Him.... to receive His love and to love him in return.
For love to be love... for God to be God... and for humans to be humans.... God gave us a choice. We can choose to love ourselves and turn to our selfish pursuits. That is sin. In our sin we cannot know God and His love. The result of sin is that we are lost... separated from God.
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Second Corinthians 5:21 says, "He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we may be made the righteousness of God through Him."
Jesus arose from the grave to conquer sin and death for all who receive Him as God's free gift.
How can you receive God's free gift of love and life?
Romans 10:9-10
"that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."
God Bless You And Your Family.

I guess I question the idea a plan of salvation at all. At least in the sense of how I think of plans. Do you know many people who came to know Christ in the same way? I don't. I don't see that in the bible.
I think, before we question how you do this online you need to question how we would do this with the people around us. 3% of church growth in American is reaching out to new people and 1/3 of the population is unchurched. Before we can talk about how to do this on the web we need to understand more about this in general. One step at a time.
It's a question the church in general isn't ready to ask. If God guides someone to this kind of thing he'll have to supply the answers.
I think it depends what your website is, and who your readers are. If you have a site which is likely to be read by non-Christians, they may not be ready for the 'plan of salvation' presentation which is really something that comes at the end of a process, not the beginning. See
www.internetevangelismdya.com/gray-matrix.php
I'd suggest instead linking to one or two evangelistic websites which are going to give much more help and information, testimonies, questions and answers, etc to someone who may not be a seeker, and at a wide range of levels of awareness and understanding. So you could try
www.powertochange.com
www.thelife.com
www.womentodaymagazine.com
www.iamnext.com
www.mentodaymagazine.com
which are all now very much integrated together - TruthMedia's suite of outreach sites.
A further advantage of doing this is that they have an incredible setup of volunteer mentors who will write to people who repond via their sites, and who will give appropriate counsel and advice, be it general questions, leading to salvation, or discipleship issues, or life problems.
Blessings
Tony
Micah I agree you said it so well. Folks are tired of being thumped on the head with the Bible. When I witness I use very little scripture and when I do I just quote it I don't say and the Bible says. I have been a Christian now for 45 years. I have learned folks are more likely to listen to you if you just tell your story what Christ did for you.
When Christ told His stories He did not say and the Torah says or the scrolls said He just said what was written in them. Only time you see Christ saying for it is written is when He was talking to the devil.
So write out your story, keep it simple, and pray before you write it that God give you the words to say. Remember we are a living book of God's word and He said His word will never return to Him void. (See I just quoted scripture).
I go into Christian chat rooms and folks ask me all the time how I just led that person to Christ they been preaching to them for years and have got nowhere with them. I say cause I don't preach, I leave that to the Preachers, I just say what God puts on my heart and let it cut through the hard hearts.
OH and remember LET GOD TALK your to just be His mouth piece. Other wise your just a loud sounding cymbal.
Remember if your froging then your Fully Relying On God
Does anyone know of well written and explained, simple, plan of salvation online that can be used on other websites?
