Best free HTML editor ?

I have been using NVU, and would like to know if there is a better HTML editor, free that is.

Would like to be able to do a 'htmltidy', possibly something that will also be able to strip all the Word 'bloatware' would be handy. Essentially a WYSIWYG, but with a few more bells and whistles than NVU (I did use, was it 1stPage2000 or something like that beforehand ??).

HTML Kit looks interesting, lots of plug-ins. Looks like it is a code editor as well.

Okay, thanks I will take a look. The WYSIWYG feature there only said something about a 'colour printer' ? Will download it and give it a try.

There is also 1st Page 2000, which is free, the latest version is not.

Given that you said WYSIWYG, Microsoft Visual Web Developer Express, but it's geared more towards people making interactive websites on Windows boxes using .NET.
