Hey all,

I haven't posted in quite some time, but I've got a question.
I have the domain savedforlife.com which I want to use as a site for Christians to post a quick blurb about anything Jesus related.

I would you my favorite php app WordPress.

Do you think this idea would work? I would want the site to be like a stop and go site where you just post a quick comment and move on. Nothing more than that really.

What do you all think?

Feel free to PM or email me. I tried to get on AIM, but I missed you.
Or, you could just post your ideas here and I could see them that way /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Thanks

David, I think it's a nice

David, I think it's a nice idea but to work you will have to create community among possible users. Why would they post ... why should they visit the site... and what will be better about this site than other similar Christian sites? Just questions you'll have to answer in possible users' minds.

Have you ever visited twitter.com? Maybe something like that from a Xian perspective. That would be different -- I haven't heard yet about a Xian twitter. Something like people posting about current faith question, thoughts, inspirations. LImited space so it doesn't get lost in a lot of hot air. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Though savedforlife.com doesn't quite have the same "cache" in the sound of the domain name.

In short, I think I'd turn

In short, I think I'd turn the site into an informational site about the "once saved always saved" (OSAS) theology. SavedForLife is way to perfect a domain to not use for a site that could clearly generate large amounts of traffice if designed well, and developped well (to allow search engines to crawl it well).

You could have user submitted questions, where either yourself or a OSAS expert answers them. And build a community (not necessarily a forum community) around that shared theological truth.

Just a few thoughts, but I think it would certainly be worth considering. Niche sites implemented correctly can be a tremendous tool for both information and for the spread of the gospel.

I should mention lastly, if you'd like to sell the domain, I'd be interested in purchasing it from you.

I don't think I would want it

I don't think I would want it to be as complicated as twitter. I'm not expecting people to stick around. In fact, I don't want them to stick around, those places already exist. I just want people to stumble upon the site and say a quick blurb, tell their friends, and then forget about the site in one months time.

That may sound reckless, but it's the mission of the site that I'm going for. There are millions of Christians online, and if 1/3 of them make a quick blurb, then I believe the site succeeded beyond my imagination.

And as a side note, I don't believe in once saved always saved. But, that should be another topic /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
