I think that I have been able to solve this problem. I have to use Search Companion in the Search Menu and then select Google as the default search engine. This seems to work. Apparently Yahoo is somehow connected to IE or Microsoft. Thanks for your help.
I can't seem to be able to select Google as my search engine rather than Yahoo. I use IE 6 on Windows XP Home 8. What can I do to get Google as the engine for my searches on the Internet?
