I made a companion site for them for a book they just released. The URL is http://thejesusenterprise.com
this site is a simple site made with wordpress and is for sharing stories of nonstandard ways of reaching the unchurched.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to improve on what I have. the Jesus Enterprise site is already live. the other site is live but their main domain (http://churchdoctor.org) is not switched over yet. That should happen this week I hope. Their main url still points to their old site.
Matt - Good to see you here! Welcome!
I like the layout of the site - clean and light. One thing about the menus - under Services - Consultation Services, the submenu is very long and extends 'beyond the fold'. I know scrolling down the list will display more of the list, but I think it needs some streamlining. With so many, I would also expect to be able to click on Consultation Services and go to a landing page where the list can be laid out better. Same with the main tabs of About Us and Services.
In the Bookshop, many resources do not have thumbnails - the blank boxes need something. I'd also limit the recent resources, I had to page down 20 times to get to the bottom.
I think that both the site and the ministry are wonderful. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I do agree that it needs thumbnails for the books, but other than that can't think of anything else to change. Good job, let's pray that the Lord blesses this ministry, as well as your work...

Thanks for the help. The landing page for the submenus is a great idea. You do not need to scroll the page to see the rest of the menus though. If you scroll down the menu, the menu scrolls automatically. Not the best way to do it, I am sure, there is quite a bit of information for a little amount of space.
the thumbnails is a great idea also. I need to come up with something (even if it is a piece of clipart) for all of the products.
They are in the final stages of proofreading so hopefully we can turn this site on to the general public next week.
thanks for the feedback!
It is refreshing to see a website that has a nice design and layout. Good job on that. There are just a few things I want to point out.
On the menu, the arrows are a little too far away from the it's text, so it looks a little awkward. I like how you did the menus. To be honest im not a fan of dropdown menus, but for dropdown menus what you have looks nice. I would suggest that you don't have the submenus scroll, however. It is a little confusing, and I don't think it's a good idea. Also in Safari, it actually displays a scrollbar next to the menu, which doesn't look all that good.
Nice design though.
Please take a look at this site for Church Doctor Ministries. They are a non-profit, church consulting ministry. These guys do great work for the great commission and I am happy I was able to help them with a new website. I have posted for critiques on a couple of other forums and wanted to see if you guys had soemthing to add. I appreciate in advance any help you could give me. Their main site is built in XOOPS and features a blog, a PayPal-based e commerce solution, a custom google calendar events display, custom google maps, and numerous other cool features. The URL is http://churchdr.org
