home button. Can you make that match the other three buttons?Otherwise, it's a nice, clean design!
Thanks for the feedback.
On point 1: This is something I'd noticed too. I think it is something that changes depending on what browser you are on. I think they both need to be the same too, so will look into this some time. I'm probably going to change the look of the site at some point anyway. I'm really asking more about the content. As an individual with no product/service to sell, is there anything else you think I actually need to add to the site?
On point 2: I think I might just take the whole lot out for now - all the links are in the list in the body of the page, and there isn't much else to distract from them. The Home button is different as the page is the home page, so doesn't need to be a link.
Thanks again. Anyone else?
Hi Ed
The main thing (in terms of content) that I missed on your site was an 'About Me' type page. I got small peeks into who you are through your blog, photos and videos, but I usually seek out the 'About Me' type page soon after reading a blog post (or whatever) for the first time. You don't have to be too revealing - just maybe some background about where you've come from, where you are now and perhaps your goals and visions (although this now sounds too much like a CV :-)
Also a choice photo or two on that page would help 'humanise' the site, since it's representing you, rather than anything else.
Oh, and by the way, congratulations on passing the DTS (and then finding a job!). My sister has been leading DTSes in the U.S. for some years now, so I know something about them, and how tough it can be both during and after the course!
I'm originally from Somerset / Wiltshire, so I know Portsmouth a little from a few visits there. Good to know there's a Godly Geek in that city! :-)
Alan.
I'm interested in your views of my personal site: Ed Ross. There isn't much there. What do you think it needs? What do you think I should change? Any other views?
