Hello everyone,

I'm asking all of the members here at CWM to check out the new design for CWEB, and let me know what you think /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The site has been pretty stale for a while, and I'm hoping a new design along with new content will help pep it up. Please let me know what you think of the design, the forum, etc. Thanks! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Nice... figure out your searchform and searchbox ID's and it should be good.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the site's design! I know it's not 100% compliant, but there are very few issues so I don't think I'll worry about it. I don't really see the point of validation for the sake of validation. BTW, I've had reports of users getting 404 errors while using IE, but not Firefox. I'm on a Mac and have no access to IE, so could someone please look for me? Thanks!

If you don't care to validate

If you don't care to validate for the point of validating, maybe to make the site as accessible as possible.

It is Wordpress with an acquired theme, it can be a pain in the neck to keep up with validation on that (unless you talk the theme designer into keeping it valid).

I have had WordPress act funny with IE on occasion, but it has been sporadic. Does the 404 happen in the admin section or the regular pages

It's not even in WordPress, it's the forum (powered by bbPress) and it ONLY happens in IE. The only thing I can think of is the fact that our server is almost out of bandwidth for the month, and it *may* be spitting out 404 errors to keep from going over. Not sure...

The login on the right needs

The login on the right needs a little work, but otherwise it looks pretty spiffy.

I agree, the colors don't quite flow with the rest of the design. Does anyone have a problem with the little emblem next to Christian Webmasters Association? I don't really like it, but I haven't found a suitable replacement...

CWEB Christian Webmasters Association

christian-web-masters.org/ is gone.

We now reside here. This place was chosen for now because it's free & probably won't go away.

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/christianwebmas...

We have some core members and some new members.
If you feel called to help, please join.
I'm also posting this to complete your topic so it won't have a dead link and to
notify old members that would like to re-join.

Thanks,

Bob
