For starters I suggest some left and right padding on your text
I would try to split your text up a bit because the fully justified blocks are hard to read, even though there is little text actually there.
I think the header looks quite nice, and the large text works fine. Perhaps the colour of the background (the exact blue you chose) is a little strong.

Would love to get some feed back from you all on my church's site. I am a rank amateur at this, only been playing with webmastering for a couple of years, do it in spare time. I think I have a decent eye for design, but its figuring out the "How to's" that eats most of my time. Also, the other thing I have a hard time with is text spacing. When I do something, I check it on 3 PC's all with different screen resolutions, in both IE and FF. Then I have my pastor check it. He has a macbook pro running FF and Safari. The text spacing is always different on the mac. I cant figure it out.
