Vertical Host revamped

Hey,

This new design will allow me to give tons of information about our services, which the old site was lacking. The site will have over 40 pages of info discussing all aspects of what we offer. I am just curious on what everyone thinks of this design and layout.

I have 2 pages "finished" right now.

The design is a cross between 2 templates that I've ran across.

All input welcome, good and especially bad.

Thanks! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Looking nice.

The text in the side "news" panel, and the other introductory text (not the lists) need some more whitespace.

Looking good, very clean simple and professional. I also dig the color scheme (although I am partial to blue, scratch that for the next ChristianDesigns.org site color now /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> )

It's very attractive; looks

It's very attractive; looks like you're a top-drawer business.

The home page: I got the sky photo, which is nice and, heh, vertical-looking, and then there's the black bar. Beyond that, most everything is a light color. It seems out of balance. I'd suggest making your headings and the cool square bullet thingies a little darker or heavier. With everything the same value (darkness/lightness) there is not enough to help my eyes follow the text around the page. "Compare Hosting Plans" and the Gray background behind the plan names is about right, but News, Quotes, and Showcase need more, and the prices pull my eyes down to that line before I've read over the stuff above. They need something visually "heavy" up above them. Does this make sense?

If blue is the text link color, you might want to avoid using blue for something that is not a link, as in this sentence on the home page: All accounts are provided with a hosting control panel and shopping cart that is fully customizable. . I scrolled over it myself to see if it WAS a link.

I realize you're providing more information, but the t.o.s. page is very long and mono-chromatic looking. I'd put in some contrast (color or darker gray) for your headings, and to make it less daunting to scroll down and read all that stuff.

This is a small thing, but the underline on the red links in the footer overlaps the border of the table they are in. Perhaps a different rollover, or a tad more vertical space in the cell?

Other than the above, it looks great. I hope the new design helps your business grow in leaps and bounds! /thumbsupsmiley.png" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="thumbsupsmiley.png" />

Thanks WeBBy,

That is the exact kind of input I like. To the point and from a visitors point of view. I will be doing some more adjusting to make the site more appealing and flow much better. I've gotta figure out what to do with those headings for news, quotes, etc... Nothing has come to mind yet, and that is why I'm stuck with them the way they are. I guess I've got some more browsing to do to come up with some more ideas /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
