Scott...nice site. I like the colors and the header is REALLY nice! Good job!

Scott, the doctype needs a little fixing.
You've got:
and it needs to be:

Home of Alex Haley, who wrote Roots, I might add. I am not far from you in Memphis.
As far as the site goes, I have a difficult time reviewing Nuke sites and Forums since there isn't a lot you can do to make it unique. You have done a good job with it though.
I work in Memphis. I'm in the masonry biz. I've worked on the Cook Convention Center & the Redbirds Stadium.
You don't know me! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I am not much of a *nuke fan anymore, so I will try to filter out my general peeves considering the systems since you cannot change those.
I think it is too orange. It is very difficult for me to read or want to look at for too long because it is lacking much contrast.
THere is to much stuff. On dial-up I had to keep trying to find my place while reading because as it slowly loaded it kept jumping around. Some of this is because you cannot use width/height in image tags very well in *nukes, but the amount of stuff on page one is overwhelming. You could probably lose the visiting countries, move the RSS feeds at the bottom to a page of their own, reduce the viewable stats, and get rid of one of the verses. The front page comes in at 115kb. Bells and whistles can be nice, but they can also get really heavy.
The header is set to show at 95%, which is really odd. You could also cut down on the background file size by using a gif instead of a bmp. Probably dropping it from 3574 bytes to 300 bytes.
The table above the Forum Watch doesn't match the list at screen resolution over 900px horizontal. It is also really heavy in the page with all the content and javascript.
I posted this site here about a year ago, but since then I have
reworked a lot of it. It's a PHP-Nuke CMS, but I have developed
and deployed a lot of my own blocks, modules, and graphics.
Just want to see what everyone thinks.
