Hi Everyone,
Closet G&G listener here, appreciate the resource here. It is a great help.

Finally went live with our new and improved look today at www.belzebuub.com

It has been through many iterations, and many months of work.

Some features that are unique to the site (eventually I would like to contribute these back to the drupal community)

Donations bar
Ajax Style loading of video and audio, from the main video links at the top (www.belzebuub.com/video)

Integration via web services with a home grown red5 Video/Audio real time chat system.

We run talks every Saturday at 3pm, and get around 100 people attending. People can ask questions live after the talk etc. For this functionality, you need to be logged in.

Also have a anonymous listener block that comes up on the main page when a talk is on, and people can just "listen" without having to have an account. So far have seen up to 10/15 people connecting this way so hopefully this will grow.

Any feedback/suggestions appreciated..

Thanks,
Cameron

Awesome...

Awesome site dude, and I think it's awesome that a Gnostic listens to the podcast. Don't agree with the teachings, but that is one awesome site, dude. Great job!

Dude!!

Hey Cameron,

I can't comment on your site because I'm still sitting here with my jaw to the chair! Just a super looking site. I'm not into drop down menus, but they look good on your site. Love the photography!!! Did you have someone shoot those pics, or did you go with stock photos?

That must have taken a while to setup!

Thanks for sharing a very nice Drupal site!

Good looking site!
Hey, thanks for listening and for sharing the design. I'm always a sucker for dark/black site designs :) Here's some suggestions:
  • I'd love to see more image-driven main nav. The site has potential to be a 'high design' look, but it's lacking a little bit since the menus are just html text. I'd love to see these replaed with CSS images.
  • There's a LOT of content on the homepage. I'd suggest that your design could be stronger if you removed about half that info...simplify! If you absolutely can't do that, I think the sections need to be broken out a little bit better so they're visually separated more.
  • I'm not crazy about the footer background graphic...I think you could go with a simple solid color here and it would give you a stronger feeling 'base' to your design.
Just a few thoughts off the top of my head...thanks for sharing with the community.

Thanks for the feedback pplz

I do have some very slight graphics in the main nav, but they are unobtrusive shadows etc - Are you talking about like having picture's associated with each of the links, or using more bolder colors for the shadowing etc?

Yeah front page has a lot, unfortunately cant do much about that for now. I can understand it is overwhelming for users, but the usual reasons for not being able to change this.

Kind Regards,
Cameron

Views Rotator

You can check out the Views Rotator module to eliminate front page clutter.

I know this sounds weird, but

I know this sounds weird, but you know what I find distracting about the site? You have two pictures of the same person on the same page. It just kind of looks...off to me.
