Not sure if one of the above comments covers this, but the h1.span.sIFR-alternate font is being chopped at the top and bottom of the span in FF3 (see homepage, "The New Community" node title, for example). Removing the overflow:hidden from that span class fixes it here, but that may break something elsewhere.
EDIT: screenshots...

I submitted a bug yesterday(?) about a bug with the profile photo - I cannot replace my existing (small) photo with any other (a larger version that seems more appropriate to the new profiles). I can 'delete' the existing photo in the profile, but when I try to upload another one, the original still appears. Looks to be some kind of upload caching problem? Anyway - hope you're able to fix it!
Thanks,
Alan
@Matt Farina
Thanks - I've logged in again a few hours later, and my large photo is finally there! However, (for the sake of it), I tried to upload a different photo and the problem is still there - again only my large photo is displayed, even after it has been deleted and a new photo specified.
In addition, despite adding a couple of posts on these forums (one here, one on the Web Designer's section), my profile homepage tells me I haven't posted anything. Putting these two issues together would make me suspect caching problems somewhere (you're not using a CDN, right?) - but that may be way off course.
Anyway - thanks again for the site. I've been listening to the podcasts on and off the last few months, but now want to be far more active in helping people and being part of the community here (despite the fact we're a Joomla shop :-)

So I am looking around the site and notice the report a bug area. And it looks strange, unlike what I would expect from Rob in his template. The "report a bug" text is not in the css colors and the next line has no spacing. I knew this had to be a browser issue, so I checked my others and sure enough, the other browser is fine. Here is the kicker though, both of the browsers at IE 7. One is the 32 bit and the other is the 64 bit. I am running Vista 64bit edition. Here is a link.
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u265/zicherd/mi...
The 64 bit is on the left and the 32 bit on the right. Found it strange that the 64 bit was showing correctly. Maybe a bug, or not. Your call.
I am assuming that a star on the folder representing a forum/collection means there are new threads/replies within that forum/collection. If that is the case, then they seem to be inconsistent as I keep seeing that there are new replies in forums which do not display with the star.
If it is the case, and it seems to you to be working correctly, can you give me a bit of info as to how the "newness" of a post/reply is determined?
Thanks much,
Jim
New site looks very good. A few things I have noticed, and am not sure if it is by design, something that was just overlooked in the design, or if I am blind and just not seeing it. 1) No general contact the Geeks :) and 2) an email notice when somebody replys to your post.
Looks like something along those line will be implemented soon for the email notices

First of all, great site! Keep up the good work, and thanks for all you do!
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but it's possible to skip the first step of submitting a review by clicking the "add some reviews" link. I noticed that clicking "Post Review" button at the top brought me to the first step page, but that particular link on the reviews page did not.
On a completely unrelated side note, there should really be a category in the reviews section for hosting providers other than web>services. I'd hate to have to sort through a huge list of web services just to find hosts.
When viewing the taxonomy term pages for reviews, the teasers still show the words "User Reviews" underneath, even though no user reviews are shown. Eg: http://geeksandgod.com/reviews/web/service
Hey Everyone,
Good job with the migration from CWM...
I am running into an issue where I am trying to post PHP code into a thread, and the browser times out on me.
I originally reported an issue to shrob and another... they said something about permissions being a problem. but I can post fine.
So I tried posting without the PHP code... and it works fine...
So, how can I post the code?
The thread I was working on was this:
http://www.nongnu.org/castget/
There's castget's web site. I have it running in a cron job on a NSLU2. Gpodder was ok this time.
@gorkon - That's very strange. The url to the items and audio haven't changed. The information about the audio hasn't changed. The text in the RSS body has changed when we regenerated the feed. I'm surprised it downloaded all those casts because of a change to the body text.
Interesting... based on the download information I have other clients aren't having this problem. hrm.... thanks for pointing this out.
I had the same issue as @gorkon except I was using iTunes and did not have it set to auto download content. I think it might have to do with the "guid" element changing in the rss. You mentioned in the last episode you no longer use podtrac. Maybe the old guid elements were podtrac urls, now they are just geeksandgod.com urls. The readers use the guid to determine if this is a different item causing them to be marked as new. I had this same issue when I was setting up my church's sermon podcast and was changing stuff around.
I tried posting an error log from my drupal 5.11 to drupal 6.8 upgrade, but every time I did it timed out. I don't know if it was because it was so long or if it was because the log had sql queries in it or if it was some other reason. If you want to see what I tried to post, check out the drupal forum where I originally posted it:
Drupal Forum post: http://drupal.org/node/346722
G&G Forum post: http://geeksandgod.com/forums/dynamic-website-foru...
While this is not a 'bug' you might also consider adding http://jaiku.com to your (extensive) list of social networks..

The thumbnails on the reviews page it cropping weird. Can it be set to scale? It might make some logos hard to read, but as it is some are impossible because it's cropped so tightly. I'm not sure what can be done exactly, but it seems like it should be noted that something should be done.
Ok, I'm adding this one to stack mf's plate even higher :)
On the homepage we display a full node of the latest episode. since it's a full node it won't show the "add a comment" or the old "5 comments on this episode" links in the $links display. (this is because we're showing the comment form at the bottom of most node displays, therefore drupal removes the "add a comment" from $links.
We need to add that back, at least, on the homepage.
The podcast player in IE7 does not work properly. It will play the podcast, but the jog/slider never moves from start and the download progress is not displayed. This makes it impossible to rewind or skip around in IE7.
Also, untill the podcast is fully downloaded, it seems to take a huge amount of processing power (~50%) on my core2 laptop.
The podcast player on the lullabot website looks like the same thing, but plays perfectly on my laptop.
Also, it seems like many of your flash text headers like to overlap the content below by just a bit. This is not seen in FF.
Maybe you don't really care about IE (and that is ok), but I thought I would let you know. Most of my church users are IE users by default, so I am not allowed to ignore them.
The main thing is the podacst player here does not work 100%, while the lullabot one works fine.
Actaully, I relaized I am having some of the same problems in FF3 right now regarding the podcast.
The download status bar does not show the true download progress.
Listening to the podcast right now, my CPU Usage is at 100%!!!
Is anyone else noticing this?
Maybe it is a problem with my machine????
I've tried to add an image to my product to review called the Hidden Power of Electronic Culture. When originally creating it, clicking the upload button crashed the latest Firefox on Mac. I saved without the image then came back, it still crashed Firefox as soon as I clicked "Upload". I tried Safari on Mac and received the exact same results at the same point.
I tried to unbookmark something and it overlayed plain text on the work unbookmark. Its just a format thing seemed to work all right but when I clicked it it just overlayed text on the display and it was hard to read.

Gents, when I try to access my personal contact form, I get the "Not So Fast" page. Screenshot here.
Is this expected behavior? Is a user supposed to not have access to their own contact page?
@erik you can't access your own contact form unless you are an admin. This is an expected drupal behavior. What good is it to contact yourself anyway? Do you have email conversations with yourself through contact forms? If so, you might want to go see a doctor :)
Hi guys, great job on the podcasts, I've been going back and listening to older episodes now that I've found you guys. http://geeksandgod.com/podcast?series=211 has a broken link, in the Hands On Studio Podcast episode. The link to the show notes goes to http://episode60/shownotes other links on this page seem to be fine.
I got to this page http://geeksandgod.com/episode109 via the Drupal Handbook. The link to Free Mission Websites is broken.
