It's a simple idea: provide brilliant stereo recording in an easy-to-use, ultra-portable device. Now everyone can record pristine audio in an infinite variety of applications. From seminars and conferences, to electronic news gathering (ENG) and podcasting, to musical performances, songwriting sessions and rehearsals, the H2 provides amazing recording quality. And no matter what kind of music you perform or the instrument you play, the H2 can effortlessly record it in high-quality stereo.
Amazing little device.
I was quite skeptical the first time I used this product, but it preformed flawlessly. I use the H2 to do recordings in East Africa for a radio broadcast, and I have been surprised and pleased by the quality of audio it provides in less-than-optimal recording environments.
The first time I used the H2 it was to record a presentation/round-table discussion (which wasn't at a round table, but rather in a forum-style with one person at the front and everyone else seated facing him). The H2 was able to pick up people in the very back of the room, even over the air conditioner which was about 10 feet away from it.
With tons of options for file sizes/compressions, and expandable memory, this little device is truly versatile. It will never be as good as doing recordings in a sound booth or other tightly controlled environment, but for what it does--it's amazing.

I love my H2
I got my H2 recorder about six months ago and it's the best equipment I bought for a long time. The h2 recorder has so many uses like guitar tuner a portable podcasting rig or a field audio recorder. The h2 does not use audio tapes but SD cards. I love it so much because, I use to bring my laptop and my usb mixer to church on every Sunday to recorded the sermons. Bring two big size bags to church every Sunday was a pain for me because, at the time my wife our baby and I was taking the bus and walking about two miles to church.Every Sunday now I have the h2 so I can just grab it and go with out a laptop or a usb mixer.

very good
This is a great device - sounds great and easy to operate. There are 2 mics in the front and 2 mics in the back so it picks up everyone in the room. It also comes with everything you need: a nice mini stand, windscreen, mic-clip adapter, 512MB SD-card, cables, AC adapter, and I think it even came with batteries.
I use this to record our wed night bible study led by the pastor with 5-6 others. I record at 128kbps MP3 format and sample down to 32kbps mono. The recorder is using the stand on the table in the middle of our group - about 5 ft away from the pastor. You can hear a sample of the recording here.
The only downside is that it does eat batteries. I can get about 3-4 hrs of recording out of the 2-AA batteries. Our bible studies were 90 minutes long so I had to change the batteries every 2 weeks. I started using the AC adapter to help fix that problem.
How does everyone use this recorder?
I know jffmrk said that he has the recorder 5 ft from the person talking. How does everyone else use the recorder? Does anyone hook the recorder up to a mixing board?
Tim
yes I do
I hookup the h2 to my church's mixing board every Sunday by use a y cable. The Y cable is connected to the tape out from the board and I connect the end of the Y cable to the line in on my H2. I hope that helps
Peace be with you Happy New Year

Thanks for the reply
Thanks for the reply Christopher. My wife gave me a recorder for Christmas and I have been experimenting in different situations. I am finding the H2 to be very versatile.
