Picasa is free downloadable software from Google that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC or Mac.
Each time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visually organized albums. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups of photos.

Picasa is a FREE must have to manage your photo library
Picasa is installed on both my PC and MAC with one common photo library. I store all of my photos on my ReadyNAS Duo and share them over our local area network.
Uploading photos to Picasa Web, another FREE Google service allows me to publish and share images with family friends.
Picasa has many simple features to touch up your photo library and includes a simple backup tool.
