I created a huge web app the "sluggo" way - from scratch and all by myself. I did my best to secure it and make it ergonomic but instead of another several months of testing on my dev server I decided to launch it to see how it will fly in the real world. I do everything the sluggo way! :-)

I would like to invite you folks to have at it. I have future plans to make it ajaxy and tweak the design a little more but the main thing right now is to know that its stable and friendly enough for prime time.

7 years after quitting this business (web development) I have now recently returned to find it very saturated even on the local level.

I'm very curious - those of you who develop and are doing well, would you be willing to share what works on a local level as far soliciting clients?

I'm looking to develop a classifieds site and have not been happy with several open source scripts I demoed. I dont want to spend $$ unless I have to and to be honest, I'm being lazy and not wanting to create one from scratch.

I dont need bells and whistles - just plain and simple like craigslist.com.

Any recomendations?

Anyone have any code they'd be willing to share?

Just thought I'd ask before starting development on my own.
