Hey
Can anyone recommend any free or cheap design programs I could use with creating basic website design things (e.g. compressing pictures for the web, or creating headings) in mind?
I used to use Macromedia Fireworks but this is too expensive for me now /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
Any advice much appreciated /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Hey there
Been a while since I last posted in this forum so hello again! Can anyone recommend (a preferably free or cheap) a program used for creating websites? Years ago I used to use Macromedia Dreamweaver but I can't really afford this anymore. I tried searching the forums but I couldn't see any posts on this already so apologies if there are a plethora of articles devoted to this topic already!
Recommendations appreciated. Thanks /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I'm trying to make a list and want there to be a line (i.e. <br>) between each bullet point. Is it possible to do this in CSS? Current coding is below.
UL {
font-size : 12px;
font-family : Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
color : #000033;
list-style-image: url(/images/bullet.gif);
}
Produces bullet points as below:

But I want a line separating each of the sentences. Any help?
Can anyone recommend any good, free, site search engines? Ideally ones with just a small logo which preferably isn't displayed around the search box (like google's).
I used to use atomz but they recently put advertising on their free service which does not look good on a professional website.

For some reason I cannot, but everyone else I have spoken to can, access my website - www.studentlifenet.co.uk
I just get "We can't find "studentlifenet.co.uk"" or
Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:
[code=DNS_TIMEOUT] A DNS lookup error occurred because the request timed out during the lookup.
I'm still downloading emails via Outlook Express though okay. I just cannot access the site either through Dreamweaver or through Internet Explorer (I haven't tried any other browsers).
