I've always liked computers and tech stuff. And I've always had a heart for ministry. Went on a missions trip back in 1999, and kind of fell in love with missions. So I've been doing that since then.
I'm a geek, and I enjoy helping my church and others in the body of Christ with their tech problems. I thought I knew a lot....until I came to this site. So I have a lot of learning to do!
I've been with my beloved Powerbook G4 for 6 1/2 years now! But I've been spending most of my time now with my dual boot Xp/Ubuntu Eeepc 1000HE
Hello everyone,
What's going on with all the glossy screens on laptops??? I've been wondering this for a while. The folks at the local Best Buy and Apple Store can't give me an answer. Is it a fad, better for designers, a marketing deal, or a cheaper way to make a screen?
Hey everyone,
Hard to believe that it's been a year since I made the plunge of domain reg. and hosting....And installing Drupal. I was suppose to have an awesome site by now, but "life" got in the way....Well, maybe it was my brain! I plan on renewing my hosting and getting more serious with Drupal. Yes, I probably should actually sit down and read up on CCK and Taxonomy! Also plan on seriously learning CSS. Yep, and time to read that Drupal 6 Theming book :-o
Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I have posted anything here on G&G. And I've always felt a little guilty because when I post something, it's usually a cry for help! ha ha. So I thought I'd say hi to everyone here.
I guess I'm going through G&G podcast withdraw! But I know Rob and MF need to take some time to chill.
And that's news to me,
shane
Hello everyone,
Just curious if anyone has taken any of the O'Reilly School of Technology courses? Or any other course for that matter? I really enjoy their books, and I thought about taking a class or two.
I'm pretty good at self-study. But I thought that taking a course might have more structure.
What are ya'lls' thoughts?
Hello everyone,
It's time to retire Henrietta. I'd rather have to replace an aging laptop, than to go frantically hunting for one once it dies. I've never had a problem with the old Powerbook. My only complaint was that I was always afraid it would get damaged.
