Hey guys...
Rob, as I was perusing your church's site, I noticed contact forms for each ministry leader. What module did you use to do that? I tried out the webforms module but it didn't seem like the right one and I couldn't figure out how to get the webforms on the right pages. Any insight you have would be most helpful. Thanks!
Well...I'm getting close to launch and I'd love to have some critique. One thing I know I need to fix is the feed for the podcasts. I'm not sure why, but the feed isn't registering. I have it as an argument in the view, but I can't figure out why it's not showing up at all. We also need to get our audio levels mixed better.
Anyway, if someone would be so kind as to give me a critique, I would really appreciate it. You can find the site here.
I've been scouring the internet to see why this problem is happening for days and can't find any info, so maybe someone here can help. I'm getting very close to launching our church's new website, but there's this annoying bug in Mac IE5 that I can't fix. For whatever reason, the blocks in the right sidebar don't have a background color, and the right sidebar is getting placed two far left which is causing it to be placed underneath the content section instead of to the right of it.
I've checked every other major browser (Firefox, Win IE, Netscape, Safari) and it works pefectly, but not Mac IE. I've validated my CSS with no errors. Any ideas on how to fix this? You can view the site here.
I notice that it's possible to make the flash player smaller? How would one go about doing this, but keeping it large for some pages and smaller for others?
So...this post could be sort of lengthy, but bear with me...
I've been very curious about MF and Rob's church for a while since they talk about it on the episodes a lot. I was curious how the website was designed, what denomination, blah blah blah..all that good stuff. So I did a search and found it. I notice hey, it's an LCMS church and I used to work at an LCMS church as a worship director. So, I've been browsing it and using firebug for inspiration and seeing how it was built and stuff.
So, I'm working on the sermon podcast section of our site and I decide to go dink around in the same section of theirs. I click on a flash player and behold, Rob's voice talking about what his pastor is going to talk about. I freak out for a second and go..did he just say the name I think he said? I search the about page and find the pastors. Sure enough.
Your pastor's son interned at the church I worked at in Sioux Falls, SD! I've met your pastor several times.
Craziness. Here I am listening to guys that are only one step of separation away from me. The world is indeed getting smaller every day.
