So, I am looking for something to integrate into my Bible study life, which has only seriously taken off in the last 5 years. I would prefer an open source web-based type that can sync or be accessed by my mac(s) / pc(s) / ipod touch. I will be looking at Evernote (free, but not open source) this weekend.
Can anyone recommend any other alternatives?
I just wanted to encourage any Joomla! 1.5 users to stop using www writable folders and enable FTP under the Server tab in Global Configuration. There are some exceptions, such as your cache, temp, log directories, and any 3rd party components that don't follow the FTP settings.
Also, it would be a good time to review the Security Checklist at the Joomla! Wiki as well as audit and remove any unnecessary 3rd party components, modules, and plugins.
This is a Mac or PC application that allows someone without a lot of web design experience to export as themes for Joomla!, Drupal, WordPress, Blogger, DotNetNuke 4.9+, XHTML+CSS, ASP.NET Application, and CodeCharge Studio. There is a free Demo that puts a watermark on your exports and also does not allow you to save it as a project to be able to edit later. I have used this for Joomla! and WordPress templates and have no complaints.
Great podcast, but I came late to the game. As a result, my feeds do not contain all the episodes in iTunes. Does anyone know an easy way to get the old episodes to show up in the podcast feed in iTunes for Windows. I know there are scripts and apps for the Mac, as well as instructions for hacking together your own web server, rolling your own XML file, and using hosts file changes to trick iTunes to use your feed instead of the original.
God has used the Geeks and God podcast to put a burden on my heart to do a conference on my gifts and passion. This will be a technology in ministry 101 conference in Millersburg, OH at Skyview Ranch. It will be at the end of October for $99, which includes USB drive, meals and cabin lodging for 2 nights. More info and registration at Skyview's Website.
Thanks to Rob and Matt for such an inspiring podcast. I will miss the new content.
