  • Blocks, HTML, and IE

Okay, I'll be the first to admit that I'm a hack and my html sucks, so it's quite possible that I've done something wrong. With that out of the way, I have a few blocks on my page (http://joeburnham.com) where IE (everything works in Firefox and Safari) isn't reading align="right" commands. Instead, it's just inserting the image as if there was no alignment directive. Thoughts?

  • Member Directory

I did a search and haven't seen this show up in a couple years, so I figured I'd ask if anybody had a solution to turn and Excel file into a searchable online member's directory ... ideally one that would integrate with Google Maps and Drupal user permissions (thus making it for members only, and only accessible to the same people who already have your name and address in the printed directory).

If not Drupal, is there something in a different CMS?

  • Disqus and Views

I recently began playing around with Disqus and like how the whole comment vibe syncing works. However, I'm not liking the block they offer for recent comments and would like to develop my own using Views 2 (it's a Drupal 6 site). I went in and looked around Views, but couldn't find anything Disqus. Am I blind, is it hard to find, or is it not there?

  • Wifi Hot Spot and a Safe Network

I'm helping a local church with their technology and one of the things I wanting to do is make the entire campus a wifi hot spot. However, when this topic was broached before, the network guy at the time shot it down because it would put the network at risk.

What I'm curious about is how to setup the wifi while keeping the network secure, and how to answer objections from those who don't really know what they're talking about, but will remember the words of the previous admin.

    Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
