I am the IT Manager at Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, NC (www.colonial.org). I was married in June, 2008 to my gorgeous wife Mica. I have been listening to the Geeks & God podcast for about a year and am challenged every episode to think about how I can better use technology to further the work of our Church.
I'm wondering if it's possible to redirect visitors to our site that came from a specific referred link. Here's the situation...
Don't know if you all are familiar with the Church IT Roundtable online community (CITRT.org) but it will be holding its 2010 Fall Regional roundtable events on Oct. 25-26. If you work/volunteer in IT for a church or Christian ministry, these events are great opportunities to get together with like-minded people for fellowship and discussion about how you're using technology to advance the work of Christ. Check out the citrt.org website to find the location nearest you. Personally, I'm the IT Manager at Colonial Baptist Church in the Raleigh, NC area and we're hosting the event for the NC/SC/GA region.
I hope if you aren't already involved in the CITRT community that you will get involved. I'm a rookie in the community myself, but it's been great so far. Search the hashtag: #CITRT on twitter or go to facebook.com/citrt to get plugged in that way also.
BTW, I'm not trying to take away from the Geeks & God community, I love spending time on here too...just thought I'd get the word out about a way to go "offline" with the Christian tech community.
