On an episode a while back, there was a suggestion to have the content of one's site delivered to the users by way of email, widget, RSS, etc. In other words, a user would only have to visit a site once to create an account and perhaps adjust settings, and then would interact with the site remotely. I really like this idea and would like to hear more about it. It seems as though this is where the internet is headed, removing barriers to participation.
Some examples might be:
I just finished listening to the Web 2.0 episode. One of the guys was talking about how his Tumblr posts would automatically be forwarded to his Drupal site. Really cool idea! Is anyone familiar with how to do this? I set up the feed in the core News Aggregator module. Drupal recognizes there are posts on my Tumblr page but it's not displaying the images. Also, I'm not seeing how to promote the feed to the front page of Drupal. Does anyone have any insight?
On my new site, I inadvertently allowed anonymous users to post forum topics sans spam filter. Now there's something like 6000+ spam post. Is there a way to just wipe out all forum content? (There's nothing I need to salvage; it's all spam.) On admin/content, it looks like I can delete one page at a time, but with 120 pages that would take forever.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to create a group forum tab for group homepages. Using the tab function in the views module doesn't really work because that only produces a list of forum topics and not the forum page itself.
If anyone could offer any advice, I'd be quite grateful.
