I was asked by a church to help them with their website.
They have an account with AdvancedMinistry - http://www.advancedministry.com/
Since their paying for the service already, they want to utilize it. It feels like I'm in a box when using it. I'm more use to working with HTML files or WordPress. Maybe it's more of a personal opinion, but I'm not wowed by the features they have.
Anyone else have any experience with AdvancedMinistry?
So, I was recently involved in a church where we sort of split.
Half the congregation joined with another church and half stayed at their current location. I was part of the half that went to the other church.
Anyways, I had been the website volunteer manager for 3 or so years before the split. When I left, I hadn't given any of the login info to anyone who stayed at the current location, but I told them to get in touch with me and I'd be more than willing to show them how things were set-up.
We record our Sunday sermons to CD, using a newly purchased CD recorder.
It was set up before I was in charge of the audio booth, and so I always assumed it was hooked up correctly. It's set-up so it comes out from the board.
I'm not an expert at all with audio set-up and recording, and just had some questions regarding the way I'm doing things...
So, my church - is planning on merging with another local church in the area. They're calling it a "blend" though, lol.
The plan at this point I is to sell both buildings, and buy another building for us to meet in.
So, I run audio in my church's worship service every week.
There's been a lot of people complaining about the sound levels being too loud.
Our sound area is located in the balcony of the sanctuary, in the very back of it too. When I'm mixing from there, the audio sounds fine good, and even when I head down to the main level during practice, I don't think it sounds terribly loud at all.
We run 4 sets of vocals, 2 guitars, piano and bass - for the life of me, I can't seem to find a right balance.
Any tips on getting things right? I guess it all depends on being there.
